Ketones is one of the functional groups in organic chemistry. Functional groups
are groups of atoms in hydrocarbons which are responsible for their
chemical properties. Ketones is an organic compound with the structure
RC(=O)-R', where R and R' can be a variety of
carbon-containing substituents. Ketones feature a carbonyl group (C=O)
bonded to two other carbon atoms. Ketones are known and many
are of great importance in industry and in biology. Hey, school is comes to its near end!
